Suno V5.5's official positioning emphasizes musical expression and personal creative style, making it suitable for refining songs with your own lyrics, vocal intentions, and style descriptions. The platform selects the model as chirp-v5-5, offering theme-based and custom-lyrics creation along with corresponding editing operations. Voices, Custom Models, and My Taste released officially are product features; it cannot be inferred solely from the model name that this platform provides all of them.
Submit requests to the public API at api.acedata.cloud using the documented parameters, then use the results in your application.
Input parameters and result formats vary by service. Use the public API for this model and follow its guide for generation, task retrieval and editing operations.
Clarify capacity, inputs and outputs, and invocation methods before selecting a model.
The input ranges and operating methods above apply to calls on this platform; desired duration and vocal preference do not represent hard guarantees for the finished product.
Learn what chirp-v5-5 can bring to your work.
The official introduction to V5.5 emphasizes sound and personal musical direction. Clearly define the lyrical mood, vocal style, and arrangement first, so each revision revolves around one creative goal; personalized product tools and model-generated results should be understood separately.
Segment replacement uses the original track's audio_id and start and end times to locate the area to modify, then submits the new segment lyrics along with the full lyric context. By default, full_song stitches each of the two candidates back into the original track; when you need to preview the local result first, choose candidates, select a satisfactory segment, and then complete the stitching.
Custom creation can use style_influence to adjust the tendency to match a style, weirdness to adjust experimentation, and set male or female vocal preferences. This is suitable for comparing different interpretation directions around the same lyrics; these settings are creative guidance, and you still need to listen to whether the melody, vocals, and arrangement meet the goal.
Start with specific tasks and find where the model can be effective.
Enter brand keywords, an event theme, and polished lyrics, then generate preview tracks with genres, moods, and titles. If the chorus containing the slogan is not suitable enough, you can locate and rewrite that section, delivering complete song candidates for team discussion and reducing the repetitive work of remaking the entire song for every revision.
Use inspiration mode to describe the visual atmosphere, instruments, and rhythmic direction, and choose instrumental music to first obtain a soundtrack draft you can preview. For projects with a specific edit length, you can set the desired duration in custom mode, then edit based on the actual audio length after downloading rather than treating the generated result as a precisely timed final product.
Organize existing lyrics into verses, bridges, and choruses to generate song drafts for discussion. When revising, clearly specify which section needs new lyrics, a style change, or a new interpretation, while preserving the full lyric context; deliver candidate segments or the stitched full track so reviewers can focus on specific differences.
Choose based on task complexity, input materials, and expected results.
Compared with chirp-v4, chirp-v5-5 increases the custom lyrics limit from 3000 characters to 5000 characters, and the style limit from 200 characters to 1000 characters. This model is better suited for longer lyrics or detailed arrangement instructions; for short prompt tasks, make a judgment based on actual listening tests rather than inferring quality from the version number alone.
chirp-v5-5 and chirp-v5 have the same input limits for lyrics and style, so there is no need to switch for longer text. Existing V5 projects can retain the same lyrics and style for comparative listening; when partial rewrites are needed, prioritize evaluating how the segment connects with the original track, and do not directly apply all of V6's editing capabilities to V5.5.
Plan the inputs first, then connect them to the corresponding application workflow.
Prepare original lyrics, emotional changes, and vocal delivery, and clearly define the sonic direction before adjusting parameters.
Explicitly select chirp-v5-5. Use prompt for theme-based creation; for custom creation, organize lyric, style, and title according to this model's limits. Save task_id, retrieve audio_url after waiting for the completed result, and archive it together with the work ID and creation settings.
Design tasks directly from the following inputs and acceptance priorities.
Generate two expressions of the same song: softly narrated verses and a firmly developed chorus; change only one style or vocal preference.
Check lyric clarity, verse-chorus emotion, and consistency across the whole song; officially released product features such as Voices and Custom Models must be used according to the corresponding operations on this platform.
Before formal use, understand the output quality and capability scope.
Answers to common questions when using chirp-v5-5.
When you only have a theme and atmosphere, submitting a prompt with custom=false is more straightforward; when you have lyrics ready or need a specific title or genre, use custom=true to submit lyric, title, and style separately. If no lyrics are provided in custom mode, lyric_prompt can be used to provide direction for lyric writing.
Yes. Use replace_section and provide the original audio_id, replacement start and end times, lyrics for the new section, and the full lyric context. replace_section_result_mode defaults to full_song, which returns two separately stitched completed songs; choose candidates to first receive unstitched clip candidates.
No. duration is the desired length for custom generation and accepts integers from 10—360, but the model may generate a shorter work. Read the actual duration in the result and listen to confirm that the ending is complete; if a fixed playback length is required, edit it afterward or plan subsequent creation.
When using the remaster workflow, V5 and V5.5 require variation_category to be specified, with options of high, normal, or subtle. Remastering and partial lyric replacement are different tasks; if the goal is to modify lyrics in a section, choose replace_section rather than treating remastering as lyric editing.
Submit model=chirp-v5-5 to POST /suno/audios. Setting async=true lets you obtain a task_id first and then query the task; you can also set callback_url to receive results. Once complete, check the status based on state, and save the audio_url, song ID, and actual duration for later auditioning and editing.
